APEX can use Google Viewer to preview files other than PDF, directly in APEX.
This is a guide for users of APEX.
If you want to see files other than .PDF in APEX, without downloading, then you can activate and allow Google Viewer to show files in APEX. What it means is that Google viewer is allowed to read your file, and in turn show it in your browser, but now with spreadsheets or other types of files you otherwise could not open.
This can be found, and activated in your profile:
- Click the menu in APEX.
- Click on your own name, that takes you to your profile.
- Scroll down, until you find the tab "Settings for APEX", and click it to expand.
- Locate the box with "use extended file viewer for files", and tick the box so it is colored with a checkmark.
